Next-Generation Interfaces

What We Do

Next-Generation Interfaces
Toward a new relationship between people and digital

The next-generation interfaces we aim to create are groups of technologies that, in an information-saturated society, reduce the burden on users to operate devices and realize a world where people are naturally connected to the information and experiences they need.

Four Future Visions

  1. Required information delivered automatically
Through the evolution of AI and digital twins, a world where necessary information is delivered in a natural form according to the situation, without users having to actively search for it.
  2. Understanding and responding to users' thoughts and circumstances
An interface in which AI grasps the surrounding context and thought processes using cues such as gaze, sound, and body movements to realize responses that capture the user's intent.
  3. Optimal UI/UX that naturally blends into the flow of daily life
An experience design that goes beyond the premise of accessing PCs and smartphones, allowing digital to seamlessly accompany us within everyday spaces.
  4. Richer digital experiences utilizing the five senses
A future that expands the relationship between people and digital even further by using all five senses—not only sight and hearing, but also touch, smell, and taste.

By combining diverse research areas such as XR and spatial computing, natural language UI, sensing, and cognitive science, we are taking on the challenge of creating a new relationship in which people and digital mutually understand each other.
